Thank you to everyone who has supported A Place at the Table! We are getting so close to goal!

Did you know that a $20 monthly recurring gift could provide 1,500 pounds of food for a year at one of our food pantries? Or that $500 could serve 520 meals for one week in our soup kitchen? Help is needed now more than ever due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Today, we would like to share some words of appreciation from one of our neighbors who have benefited from Catholic Charities Tri-County Services. Please consider helping us reach our goal.

Today is World Day of the Poor, an important day for us at Catholic Charities, where we work every day to alleviate poverty in our community. We can’t do it alone, so we’re asking for your assistance.

We’re so excited to announce that every gift made to Catholic Charities starting TODAY through #GivingTuesday on December 3rd will be matched dollar for dollar. But we need YOUR help to get the full $25,000 match! Join us in giving back and make your dollar go further, thanks to Alpin Haus and Catholic Charities’ Board of Trustees.

Help us reach our goal by making a gift for our neighbors in need at give.ccrcda.org/givingtuesday #CaringBeyondBelief

This is Judy Farrell, one of our most dedicated volunteers. Judy and her crew organize The Giving Room at the Sister Maureen Joyce Center Soup Kitchen where they collect and distribute clothing to those in need. This weekend they held one of their super successful, twice a year garage sales to raise funds exclusively for the clothing room. This year they raised $1,059.59! 🤗

The Giving Room serves many of the homeless population in the area and is always in need of new mens socks and underwear. In the colder months they need these items as well and coats, gloves and warm boots.

If you're interested in dropping off some of these much needed items you can do so on Mondays & Thursdays 12pm-2pm at 369 Livingston Ave, Albany or call Renee at 518-347-9546 and she can help coordinate a date and time that works for you!

Our Clothing Room at the Sister Maureen Joyce Center Soup Kitchen is in need of socks! Did you know that socks are the most needed, but least donated articles of clothing? You can make donations of new in package unisex utility style socks at the SMJ Soup Kitchen at 369 Livingston Ave on Mondays and Thursdays between Noon and 1pm or you can order some on Amazon and have them shipped directly to Catholic Charities Tri-County Services where we will also receive them!

http://a.co/0BcTIMA

**Please do not ship directly to the Sister Maureen Joyce Center since some days we are at the food pantry location and others we are at the soup kitchen and packages are often lost or stolen.**
