Mariners are advised that bridge painting activities are in progress on the New Swamp Rd. Bridge C-19 over Champlain Canal in the town of Kingsbury. Overhead clearances beneath the bridge are reduced 15.50 feet due to scaffold beneath the bridge.

Mariners should reduce speed, stop all forward motion, blow horn, and proceed at a "No Wake" speed when traversing this area.

Chart 14786 C-07r covering the affected area can be found at http://www.canals.ny.gov/navinfo/charts/14786c07r.png

Help protect your waters, don’t forget to #CleanDrainDry your watercraft before and after visiting a waterbody. Proper cleaning procedures can help stop the spread of invasive species like hydrilla. Hydrilla can grow in thick patches at the surface of the water, making it difficult for boats to navigate through. These two believe in the transformative power of a great live performance. Touring upwards of a 100 shows a year (with their two kids in tow), Mike + Ruthy also produce a bi-annual folk festival called The Hoot of which the late Pete Seeger called "one of the best song gatherings I've seen in all my 94 years."
