Executive Director Dave Wallace joined Assemblyman Andrew Hevesi, and other mental health professionals and legislators to discuss the immediate need to include ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experience) language in the NYS budget. Childhood trauma has significantly increased through the pandemic and the necessary care for our children and families is imperative.

LaSalle School is a leader in ACEs work and has provided trainings to thousands of community members, partners and school districts. Each year, LaSalle hosts the ACEs Symposium that includes experts from across the field in childhood trauma. This year's event will be held virtually on Thursday, October 21. More information to come this spring. To receive information on ACEs training and our annual symposium, sign up to receive emails from LaSalle by visiting https://lasalle-school.org/.

Shoutout of the day! LaSalle staff who have volunteered their time to quarantine with needed residential students. Here are just two of those amazing members, Kortney and Shah, but 6 staff have stepped in to help keep our students safe, active and assist with remote learning. Quarantine days and weeks can be long, but these folks have kept strong. Can we say it again #LasalleSTRONG👏👏

Santa and his helper, executive director Dave Wallace, jingled their way through the halls of LaSalle on Friday to provide gifts to our day students before kicking off the holiday break. In addition, on Christmas morning 36 boys will be waking up on campus, as many are unable to go home this holiday due to the pandemic. Students will have stuffed stockings and presents to unwrap to put smiles on their faces and enjoy this special holiday.

During this season of gratitude, we are reminded how thankful we are of our donors, friends and community partners that helped make this all possible for our boys. We thank you for your support and generosity and hope you all have a wonderful holiday!
