An active community trying to conserve and enjoy the nature around them is an awesome sight to see! I really appreciate all of the work you all are doing! I have recently been on a green kick and I stumbled across a documentary on Netflix called Kiss the Ground that I think anyone with the environment in mind would enjoy! It is an entertaining 85-minute documentary about how soil health is key for more than just the plants that are grown in it and how healthy soil can actually help the environment as a whole. It is also narrated by Woody Harrelson and includes facts and conversations from multiple soil experts and climate activists. The film has some really good information and I think that it is a solid watch!
Western National Parks Association manages a bookstore in the Visitor Center at Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument. They are currently looking for a part-time person to work at the store. The Visitor Center at Organ Pipe Cactus NM is a great place to work! If you: like talking to people from literally all over the world; like working with fun colleagues in a supportive and respectful work environment; if you love all things about the Sonoran Desert and sharing that passion with others; if you don't want to be tied down with a full-time job... Western National Parks Association may just have the perfect job for you!

All are welcome, no matter your faith or belief system. Maybe you believe simply in community and the power of the human spirit. Together, we join on a journey that honors everywhere we’ve been before. Beliefs are diverse and inclusive. We have no shared creed. We are united in our broad and inclusive outlook, and in our shared values. Direct experience of the transcending mystery and wonder, affirmed in all cultures, moves us to a renewal of the spirit and an openness to the mysterious forces which create and uphold life. Words and deeds of prophetic people which challenge us to confront powers and institutions of oppression with justice, compassion, and the transforming power of love; (from the likes of Buddha, Jesus, Mohammed, Gandhi, Emmet Fox, Bill & Bob of AA and Martin Luther King). Wisdom in allegory and meaningful motifs from the world's religions and belief systems can inspire us in our ethical and spiritual life; teachings which call us to respond to the Creator’s love by loving our neighbors as ourselves; and Humanist teachings which counsel us to heed the guidance of reason and the results of science. Spiritual teachings of Earth-centered traditions which celebrate the sacred circle of life and instruct us to live in harmony with the rhythms of nature. Unitarians have a legacy of “deeds not creeds”, working for a better world with action, but firstly within ourselves. Excerpts from UUA.org
