Daniell Baptist Association The Daniell Baptist Association exists to partner with churches to reach communities with the love and life of Christ. What is the Daniell Baptist Association?

Many who are not familiar with Southern Baptist life have asked this question. Perhaps the simplest answer is that the Baptist Association is “a fellowship of Churches on mission.” Each Church is independent and autonomous, but we have made a covenant, or agreement, to work cooperatively together to touch people for Jesus. The Churches of the Daniell Baptist Association know that we can do so much more by working cooperatively together as partners than any Church could do alone. Affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention and the Georgia Baptist Mission Board, the Daniell Baptist Association is located in beautiful South Georgia. We are comprised of 50 Churches located in Montgomery County, Treutlen County, Wheeler County, Toombs County and part of Emanuel County. Our goal is to partner with Churches to reach communities for Christ.. The Staff of the Daniell Baptist Association works with these 50 Churches and Missions in a variety of ways to encourage them in their work of missions and evangelism. Ministries DBA provides to our churches upon request: •Leadership Training •Church Facility Space Consulting •Resources •Pastor Training •Healthy Kingdom Church Facilitation •Deacon Training •Pastor Search Committee Training •Sunday School/Small Group Leader Training •Evangelism Training •Idea Development •Strategy Planning/Goal Setting •Resume’s •Discipleship Ministry Development •Worship/Music Leader Training •Pastoral/Minister Support and Counseling •Mission Trip Training and Opportunities •Exciting and Affordable Camps for children and youth •Help churches birth new churches •Pulpit Supply and Prison Ministry We provide the above and other ministries free of charge to our DBA churches. According to the National Adult Literacy Survey, 70% of all incarcerated adults cannot read at a 4th grade level, “meaning they lack the reading skills to navigate many everyday tasks or hold down anything but lower (paying) jobs.” Better Together Christian Community Church has recently opened their compassionate
care center, where they are focusing on Literacy for 2nd & 3rd graders after school.

As many of you know, the DBA and many of its member churches, help support the work of The Mercy Ministries, a local non-profit primary care clinic for indigent patients. This time of year, TMM usually hosts an in-person fundraising luncheon to recruit new donors and show existing donors and healthcare partners their money at work. THIS YEAR they have transformed the luncheon into a virtual experience, A TELETHON, and are inviting us to participate by watching! (Think Jerry Lewis and his old school MDA Labor Day telethon events that used to broadcast on TV each year!) They have recruited some of the best talent in town to help update us on the work of The Mercy Ministries (Watch a sneak peak of the entertainment here: https://vimeo.com/477751195 ) or see the attached flyer. In addition, the show will feature testimonials from current Mercy patients and how they have benefited from the services they’ve received. YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS IT!

Last year the church of the DBA packed approximately 500 OCC Shoeboxes!

Operation Christmas Child, a project of Samaritan's Purse, has delivered 157 million gift-filled shoeboxes to boys and girls around the world. We praise God for so many children whose lives have been changed as the result of a simple gift.

We are excited to see our churches being equipped to share the Gospel of Christ tomorrow at SPARK 2020!In order to keep everyone safe please wear your mask at all times while on Brewton - Parker's campus. Temperatures will be checked when you arrive and you will be given a green bracelet to wear throughout the day while at BPC. Lunch at Brewton-Parker is great!

If you have not had an opportunity to attend an evening 5th Sunday singing at Ailey Baptist, you ought to put it on your calendar.

See you out in the harvest field.

Brewton-Parker College and the Daniell Baptist Association traveled to Albany, GA on Saturday, January 28 to assist with recovery efforts after a tornado devastated the Albany area on January 22. Billy led a 6 member team in an effort to clear away downed trees and debris. The team worked alongside Javier, a homeowner working to recover his residence so that his displaced family can move back home as soon as possible. The DBA/BPC team contributed to the recovery of the Albany community and found that serving is a blessing. Aquilla Ross, a freshman at BPC, participated in the mission effort and commented, "Today's mission trip was inspiring. Material things can be replaced but a person's life cannot be. Although, they're sad that their houses are damaged there will be joy in the end."
