Virtual Bible Study ~ God's Mysterious Ways

My apologies! Bible Study didn't post like it was supposed to this morning. Here you go! Today we look at the mysterious ways that God works in our lives. Many times in ways we don't understand or don't even know about. And often times in strange places and people we don't expect. Click on the link below to find the study guide.

Today is Christ the King Sunday. Let us pray: “O God, our true life, to serve you is freedom, and to know you is unending joy. We worship you, we glorify you, we give thanks to you for your great glory. Abide with us, reign in us, and make this world into a fit habitation for your divine majesty, through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen” (ELW, p. 53).

"Where is God in difficult times?" Session 1 ~ The Gift of Life

So here we go! Heading into the topic of "Where is God in difficult times?" Here is a video to kick things off. In the comments is a study sheet if you'd like to dig in a bit deeper. Grab your Bible, a warm mug of something yummy (brrr...it's chilly outside this morning), and dive into scripture!

Alright people, bad news, good news. Bad news, you won’t be able to worship in-person this Sunday. Good news, you will be able to worship in your pajamas once again. With Covid cases on the rise in our community, Little Cedar and Marshall will be switching back to virtual worship services for at least the next couple of weeks. Please spread the word, so that everyone knows.

If we have learned anything this year, we have learned that we need to roll with the punches. We are church. And once again, nothing will stop us from worshiping. As in the past, tune in at 10:00 Sunday morning for worship on Facebook or YouTube. Hope you can join us. It will continue to be available all week long. As in the past, we will also look for help from the congregation to put this together. We will continue to remain a community in Christ, loving God and loving neighbor! Peace, blessings, and many prayers that all may remain healthy!

Well, so I was hoping that I would be able to get a couple weeks worth of an in-person Bible Study. Unfortunately, with cases on the rise in the community, sounds that it may be best to stick with a virtual Bible Study. So, with that being said....

When we find ourselves in difficult times, it can be challenging to feel God’s presence. We wonder where God is at or how could God let such a thing happen. For our Fall Bible Study, we will tackle the question, “Where is God in difficult times?” Pastor Jeremy will host a virtual Bible study on Fridays starting November 13th. A video will be posted to Facebook, YouTube, and church website, along with a study sheet to guide your own personal studies.

Veterans Day Litany

On this veterans day we are called as a nation to remember the sacrifices of those who fought in all our nation's wars, to celebrate the contributions of all veterans of military service, and to rededicate ourselves to the task of promoting an enduring peace.

Let us pray,
Almighty and ever-living God, we give you thanks for the men and women who have served and defended our country and the values of freedom and justice we hold so dear. Help us be mindful of the sacrifices they made and the hardship endured by their families and friends, so that we never take for granted the privileges they have secured for us. Hear us, we pray, through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen.

Today is Veterans Day. We remember and give thanks for the service and personal sacrifice of all who have served our nation in times of peace and war. We pray for those currently serving in the military and for their families, especially during times of separation, that they will know they are remembered, valued and cared for by their faith community and siblings in Christ. — ELCA Prayer Ventures

Week #1 of our Woman at the Well lesson

We were Water Researchers. The woman at the well asked Jesus lots of questions so we experimented with drops of water on coins and and we had lots of questions on how this was working! This is how we receive Jesus' living water like the woman at the well and can now go out and share his stories.
