Our aim is to teach and mentor our learners; to nurture an insatiable curiosity for knowledge, enrichment and empathy for humanity & our planet.
By enabling & empowering students, we already know you will set yourselves higher learning goals. As your curiosity & enthusiasm for learning grows, so your sense of achievement, self-esteem and confidence will naturally follow. Then watch as you grow in confidence, as with anything we do in life, you feel a sense of achievement and in response to that success, you will notice your heart pump with yet more confidence as your empathy for the world around you grows you as a person. So, as your sense of achievement blossoms in incremental stages, over time you are likely to notice a marked improvement in your academic performance but perhaps even more valuable than that, you will have found your passion for lifelong learning and being an active citizen, one who shares in the freedom of opportunity and assimilates a sense of responsibility to humanity, our communities and to the planet.

Connecting what we know with what we do is key to building healthy relationships, continuing personal development and enhancing emotional literacy. Learning to work together gives rise to the acquisition of the soft-skill-sets that employers repeatedly claim are lacking among the new generation of scholars. The modern workplace needs a dynamic team of collaborators, innovators and visionaries who collectively are able to add value to their role, department, organisation and wider communities. By sharing established and measurable applied drama methodologies we aim to engage children and young people in education using techniques that invite experiential learning. This socially inclusive approach aims to include the expressions of everyone including young people who may have been denied their right to voice an opinion or contribute to a group. A different perspective within a group can significantly alter its dynamics and challenges others to explore their existing thinking patterns and associated behaviours. Applied drama techniques such as Augusto Boal's games for actors and non-actors provokes insight by facilitating experiential learning processes that nurture trust, cooperation and empathic understanding. Projectpiece respects all governing articles found in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the United Nations Conventions on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), recognising each person's democratic right to be an active citizen in the communities in which they live. Projectpiece continues to reach out to other countries, such as Haiti and Sub-Saharan Africa, where community 'togetherness' is collectively known as "UBUNTU" and easily understood by the following explanation: "I am who I am because of who we all are" Desmond Tutu 2008. This sentiment governs the founding principles of all co-operative movements which places humanity before the profiteering interests of the minority rich. UBUNTU represents equitable representation and distribution of resources for majority rich communities.
We believe there is always something we can learn from each other, whilst every new experience yields insight, those of us who share expression with others will probably also write the future for tomorrow’s world.
