You are all doing great God bless x

The third day. The longest day for miles.. set off from Galway, via Tuam to meet Alistair Grimason and the great folks there. Then up to Knock where Bishop Patrick Rooke had organised for Fr Richard Gibbons to host us for lunch! Top notch :-) after that it was the long road to Drumcliffe-Sligo where Isaac Hannah and Alan Williamson treated us to some traybakes and coffee in the Drumcliffe cafe.. finished up at our AirBnB with a visit from Allie Schell Tori Beavin Amy Atwell and Rachel Kennedy for a BBQ... next stop Malin Head for the big finish.

It's been an absolute blast and we've soared past £14,000 which is phenomenal.. if you want to give us a final push click on www.400miles4uganda.org and you'll be helping Abaana and Waakisa and their fantastic work!

Wow a BIG thank you from Waakisa - you are a Hope Hero

Great place to go

Have you seen the mouth watering new film from The Hub Café?? 🎬☕️🥓

The Hub Café is open everyday at 22 Elmwood Avenue, Belfast from 9.30am-4pm.

Did you know we tithe 10% of our cafe earnings to the great work of our partner charities Abaana, @Waakisa Ministries, and South Belfast Foodbank ?

Waakisa Ministries: The Waakisa Centre
Waakisa Ministries is another charity founded locally, with a well-known charity shop in East Belfast which raises support for their work.

waakisaschool_4x3The Waakisa Centre in Uganda aims to provide care and support to young vulnerable girls who are pregnant and alone, and to deliver health education programmes to local schools and churches. The Centre currently hosts up to 50 girls and their babies.

Waakisa undertakes personal development plans with each of the girls they help, helping to educate them in motherhood and useful life skills. By providing medical care, pastoral support and community to those in need, they aim to support vulnerable young women at a pivotal moment in their lives.

A HUGE congratulations to the Belfast Telegraph for awarding our very own Valerie Duff of Waakisa "Woman of the Year" in the Voluntary Sector.
May we also take this opportunity to ask all of you to keep in your thoughts and prayers Jo Cox and her family. She was another woman who believed in helping others who are vulnerable at home and abroad in their time of need.
Well Done Valerie
