The real fun starts today (may 30th): three days trek, 135km and a real treat!
Before my departure I asked my family and friends to record vocal messages for me. I allowed my self to discover then after the 30th kilometer. I called this moments: boost time. And it works like hot damn !!! Thanks you all 😘😘😘😘

May 26th, D day, Departure day
Do you know this awkward feeling when you are expecting something so much for so long and all of the sudden someone hits the accelerator and everything is going at utmost fast motion. That was me for the last 2 days before departure; I felt levitating, going at automatic pilot making sure that my endless “not to forget lists” are all crossed.
Wow, I am already travelling. Sooo happy and utterly wrenched to leave my darling kids, so I won’t deny teary eyes and quivering lips ☹
Here I am after all this fizzing sitting in the plane. First question to myself: ok, let’s cut the crap, are you freaking out or what? My answer was honest, I am nothing but excited, knowing that I am going to experience something one of the kind totally off the beaten track!

May 27th, Ulan Bator guess who’s here!!
After long hours travelling, we finally landed in Ulanbataar, where Bilgae this amazing french spoken lady was waiting for me and we spend a very enjoyable day together (Ginggis square with this huge seated statue of Genghis Khan at the door of the government house, the National Museum of Mongolia, Naran tuul the local market…)
Random information:
* Currency is Tugrik, and for the record there is NO coins, only bank notes (3K MNT=approx. 1€)
* Everything is Cyrillic written or ancient Mongolian writing which is quite startling for my Moroccan eye as it seems like Arabic written vertically
* Car are BOTH left and right driven (depends if coming from Russia or Japan)
* You can wave to ANY car which will taxi you for a 3K Tugriks per kilometer
* I must admit that my curly hair earned very staring looks.

May 28th Hey Mongolian Steps, hang on I am on my way!
On the program today: 6 hours bus travelling and me saying goodbye to English/French speaking, to running water, to shower and to toilets 😊.
The bus reminds me of the Moroccan buses with a sought-after kitsch decoration. I didn’t put my headset on purpose as I wanted to be immersed in this hubbub totally incomprehensible for me and I was discovering new sounds and new tone.
This 6 hours trip felt out of time, they were broadcasting this Mongolian clip videos where in general there is a guy dressed in traditional “del” singing beside a horse or a camel with open arms describing very odd love stories 😊
We finally reached Karakorum. Jayaa an his wife Alta were waiting for me, we hopped in their truck to their “GER” or yurt where I spent 2 nights leaving the nomad live: rounding up the cattle, milking the goats, preparing food, resting in between, walking when I could. All of this of course in pure Mongolian !!!! 😊

So thrilled to announce that Aser, the 2 years old boy has been successfully operated and is gaining strength in pediatrics.

You know what A. Einstein said: “There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” Thanks to your generosity, your support and endless nice words, I feel definitely belonging to the second category of life grabbing!

Join me in conveying to my dear Aser the best wishes to a prompt and speedy recovery.

What if I tell you that we have already collected all the money needed to save a kid!

How do I put it: I am completely GRATEFUL & utterly overjoyed, your help and support were invaluable to my project and thank to your generosity we succeeded to raise 12000€ in a record time.

You know what Maya Angelou used to say: “People will forget what you said. They will forget what you did. But they will never forget how you made them feel”. You made me feel fortunate to have great people around me. You made me feel that kindness and benevolence are definitely still around. You made me feel happy with a concrete sense of purpose & accomplishment!

So again, thanks from the bottom of my heart

Very soon now, I will provide news about the kid that will reach shortly France to benefit from a heart surgery!

04/03/2018

Well well, I must admit that I didn’t’ had to use my sun glasses today to overcome the 21km, it was one of those rainy days where you do need only to stay home and do nothing!
BUT, the 44 999 runners registered and myself, out of which 36 509 finishers and myself were thrilled to brave the elements.
I must admit that I shed a tear when the lady and the gentlemen right in front of me crossed the finish line, and this guy went on his knee to propose to his girl with the ring and all! SO CUTE, wish them all the best!!!!
With this video, I wanted to share with you some moments of my run today (pls forgive the shaky quality 😂)
Talk to you soon 😊

Steps for a Heartbeat depuis le Temple de l'amour !! Quelle merveille !

Bravo !

Steps for a Heartbeat from the Temple of Love!! What a wonder!

Congratulations! We are now more than 2000 followers (yes, fantastic isn’t it? Remember, we were hardly 100 followers two weeks back…) WHAT a mobilization from all over the world!! You are amazing folks! A special thought to my Moroccan friends (Al Maghrib Dima Dima) and Bahut Bahut Dhanevad & Choukryia to my Indian friends.

20% of the funds are now collected !! Once again, my deepest thanks to all the generous donors.

But you know what Mother Theresa used to say: To keep a lamp burning we have to keep putting oil in it. So please keep the momentum, every penny, euro, roupie, dollar, dirham... counts.

Donate pls, let’s allow this kid to have his chance!

We have already collected more than 40% of the amount needed. What a performance! Thank to you ALL ! Ok, one may say 60% is still a long way ahead, but you know what Neslon Mandela said: It always seems impossible, until it’s done! Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque
