The main objectives of this live session is to (1) Provide examples of methodologies for management of food & beverage value chains in the tourism industry; (2) Discuss benefits of food waste prevention; and (3) Present approaches to integrate small, local producers into a large, mainstream tourism value chains.

This webinar is organised in partnership with World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) , the 10YFP Sustainable Tourism Programme’s lead and with participation of the #10YFP Sustainable Food Systems Programme.

The 22nd session of UNFCCC COP22, hosted by the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco, will convene in the City of Marrakech from 7-18 November 2016. As part of the activities of the 10YFP Sustainable Tourism Programme #10YFP_STP, the Ministry of Tourism of Morocco is hosting a three-day Tourism Side Event simultaneously with the COP22, with the theme "Advancing Sustainable Tourism in a Changing Climate".

This event is organized in partnership with the Government of France, the Government of Republic of Korea, the United Nations Environment Programme (UN Environment Unep) and the World Tourism Organization (World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), in Marrakech, Morocco on the 11th of November (the International Symposium of 10YFP STP) and 12th of November 2016 (the Annual Conference of 10YFP STP).

The Tourism Side Event targets the global tourism sector to promote increased action and contributions to national commitments of the #ParisAgreement and the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda.
