Call to protest.
Following the murder of Sarah Halimi in France, and the recent denial of justice by the French Supreme Court.
Young Diplomats is sharing the call to protests for next weeks for what we consider the biggest Judiciary Scandal in the 21st century in Europe.
FACTS : An old lady of 86 years old was beaten,killed savagely and thrown by the window by her neighbor, which screamed antisemitic slurs while doing it. He was also heavily under drugs. He admitted the crime and claimed that he did that because he was under drugs.
JUDGES SAID IT WAS OK THEN AND THERE WILL BE NO TRIAL. HE CANNOT BE RESPONSIBLE BECAUSE IT WAS BECAUSE OF THE DRUGS.
Murder = Illegal
Drugs = Illegal
Murder + Drugs + Antisemitism = Legal in France

Water for Peace and Sustainable Development

Young Diplomats might not be thought of as playing a role in water supply and management, but in fact it has a leading role, as it does in all areas of sustainable development. We’re working hard to provide potable water for 13.5 million people this year.

Water scarcity affects more than 40% of people around the globe, an alarming figure that is projected to increase with COVID-19, and the rise of global temperatures as a consequence of climate change. Although 2.1 billion people have gained access to improved water sanitation since 1990, dwindling supplies of safe drinking water is a major problem impacting every continent, in Africa; particularly.

Hence, ensuring universal access to safe and affordable drinking water by 2030 requires we invest in adequate infrastructure, provide sanitation facilities and encourage hygiene at every level. Protecting and restoring water-related ecosystems such as forests, mountains, wetlands and rivers is essential if we are to mitigate water scarcity. More international cooperation is also needed to encourage water efficiency and support treatment technologies in developing countries.

Universal access to clean water and sanitation is one of 17 Global Goals that make up the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. An integrated approach is crucial for progress across the multiple goals.

Ensuring access to water and sanitation for all emphasizes the need to accelerate action on all levels and by all stakeholders. In order to fulfil the vision and Goals of the 2030; we must remain united in our shared humanity.

What’s going on in Central African Republic?

Rebels in the Central African Republic seized Bambari, on Tuesday, the country's fourth-largest city, as clashes broke out on a key highway in the west of the country several days before nationwide elections.

The Central African Government says Russia and Rwanda sent hundreds of troops into the country after an alleged coup bid that took place ahead of the presidential and parliamentary polls scheduled for next week.

Measuring A Country’s Success in Terms of Wellbeing Rather Than GDP
By Lucy Lönnqvist

Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is seen as the most important measurement of a country’s overall success. However, my argument today is that it is time for that to change. What we choose to measure as a country matters. It really matters; because it drives political focus and it drives public activit...
