We would like to inform you that after almost 40 years of commitment with social and cultural actors of the Euro-Mediterranean region, the René Seydoux Foundation for the Mediterranean world ceases its activity on the 30 of June 2016, subject to approval by the French Council of State.
Henceforth, the Foundation’s financial resources do not enable the implementation of activities up to its ambitions and its missions as in the past.
Nevertheless, the Mediterranean Directory will continue to exist.
This tool for information and cooperation in the Mediterranean is passed over to the iReMMO, Institut de recherche et d’études Méditerranée Moyen-Orient, based in Paris and will shortly be available on the website: www.iremmo.org
We have been enriched by our collaboration and exchanges throughout these past years and wish to thank you. Of course, through new paths, we will remain engaged with civil societies, artists, cultural operators, women and men of culture, for the Mediterranean and the enhancement of links between the northern and the southern shore.
