Online 55th CIML Meeting: Resolutions and Summary Report
The International Bureau of Legal Metrology (BIML) is pleased to communicate some key information concerning the very positive outcome of the 55th CIML Meeting, held from 20–22 October 2020 as an online meeting due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
There were over 200 participants, from 54 Member States, OIML Corresponding Members, organisations in liaison and observers from prospective member economies.
Online voting by the International Committee of Legal Metrology (CIML) on the meeting resolutions closed on Friday, 4 December 2020 with the excellent result that all 33 resolutions were approved.
This represents a significant milestone for the OIML, as this is not only the first time that a CIML meeting was held online, but also the first time that the Resolutions have been approved online. The approved Resolutions and a Summary Report are available on the OIML website: https://www.oiml.org/en/structure/ciml/sites
Amongst many other items, the CIML approved seven new or revised Recommendations and Documents (see the Summary Report and Resolutions for details), and the Publications page of the website has been updated accordingly:
