In 2015, 71% of our congregations had an average Sunday attendance of 100 or less. In this issue of Vestry Papers we begin to share ideas, inspiration and resources especially for smaller churches, to highlight that we are not alone in this experience, and that transformation is possible in a variety of God-led ways.

St. Augustine of Canterbury, Wiesbaden

Once a year, the Wiesbaden Council of Churches organises a public ecumenical service or event, called Geist-reich, or "spirit filled." This year on Saturday June 10, it will be a pilgrimage - and a walk of witness - through Wiesbaden starting at the Old Catholic church, through the Alter Friedhof park, then the Nerotal park, to the top of the Neroberg, where there will be food and drink and a time of fellowship. On the way, there will be 7 stations for prayer, music, and reflection, one of which we will organise. I hope many of you will come along for this spiritual walk and to support our St. Augustine's station. The food at the end of the day will be provided by the participating congregations.
