SeaOwl group company OGAS wins Maintenance & General Services Contract for PTTEP

Paris, Bangkok, 14th March 2017: SeaOwl Energy Services (OGAS Solutions) has been awarded a 3 year contract by PTT Exploration and Production (PTTEP) to perform the Maintenance and General Services for Offshore Arthit, Greater Bongkot South (GBS) and PSB Songkhla Assets.

Lying in the middle of Gulf of Thailand, Arthit and GBS gas and condensate fields stand in shallow water at 230km offshore Thailand's Songkhla province in the Gulf of Thailand. First production from were achieved respectively in 2008 and 2012, where PTTEP, the operator of the fields.

As part of the service, SeaOwl Energy Services (OGAS Solutions) will perform maintenance campaigns, crane and lifting inspections on offshore units Arthit, G8/50, Bongkot and G12/48, while onshore the company will implement maintenance programs in the workshop on the PSB Songkhla base.

SeaOwl strengthens its position as a/the French Navy’s key maritime support partner with the award of a contract for Assistance, salvage, and pollution remediation services in Brest.

The BSAD consists in putting at the disposal to the Préfet Maritime Atlantique one stand-by vessel in Brest to assist in the prevention of any accidental pollution and operations such as towing vessels in distress.

This Tug Supply Vessel Fire Fighter I and II OILREC is a former anchor handling supply vessel (AHTS) delivered in 1985 by the Norwegian shipyard Ulstein, used to work in the North Sea.

The type UT 712, VN Sapeur is 75 meters long and 16.6 meters wide, with a capacity of bollard pull of 150 tonnes. With two Wärtsilä 12V32D engines total power of 12,000 hp, and three bow thrusters, the ship can reach speeds of 16 knots. It is equipped with means to fight against fires.

The vessel will undergo a number of modifications prior to mobilisation, including the installation of a boiler for heating oil which it may have to pump from wrecked ships and the fitting of a 23 tons crane belonging to the French Navy. In its new configuration, the vessel will be able to implement a number of means to fight against pollution, including sweeping arms and booms.
