IMPORTANT: The youth club will be going on a "pause" for the 2014/2015 school year.

A big THANK YOU to all our youth club members - those of you who have just joined this year, and those of you who have been here from the start.

The club wouldn't have been this successful and fun without all of YOU. United Way hopes you all continue to make positive impacts through volunteerism in our community! Thanks!

What an incredible year. Thank you to all the wonderful volunteers who committed through such busy schedules! Good luck with exams, and I hope your summers are filled with fun and are just the break you need before starting next semester.

Stay tuned for club updates in Fall 2014! - Courtney

Tonight is our last meeting for the school year!

Come by the TRUSU Boardroom at 6:00 PM for a delicious potluck, listen to some incredible speakers (Boys and Girls Club, People in Motion, and Kamloops Children's Therapy), and discover opportunities to keep your summer full or community involvement. :) :v

General information

The United Way Youth Club is a group for any local youth who want to get involved and initiate positive impact in their community. We meet twice a month at the Thompson Rivers University campus from September to May to: • Volunteer at events • Learn about local non-profit organizations • Distribute $10,000 in grants to youth projects • Learn about social issues and create change, and • Build new friendships and have fun! You are welcome to join any time during the year. The majority of our members are university students, but we also have high school students and young professionals volunteering with us!
